GREETINGS FELLOW RACERS AND CREW MEMBERS We are all in shock over the loss of our good friend and leader Ron. His guiding hand will be missed. I am sure many of you are wondering what is going to happen to the Challenge Series. The short answer is nothing will change. The Series is lucky to have a group of people that have stepped up and will take over the actual running of the group. The points will be posted on this website faster than before. We realize this has been a concern. Mark Buchanan is taking over that role as well as that of VP. If there are any questions about points, you can call him. Bill Alstrin has become the Treasurer. He is with the Bank of Desoto and has the experience to serve in this position. He is setting up an account for the Series and also will consult with a lawyer for advice on incorporating the Series and the tax issues involved with that. The group will now be set up as a legal corporation with a governing Board of Directors. Ron and Charlene have been handling everything and the board feels this is the way to go now. We will all do our best to do the right thing, but if you have any issues we may have overlooked we welcome your input. I feel one of the things that has made this such a great series is the good people involved. I would like to thank a few of the people that have helped guide us through this trying time. Bill Alstsrin, Robert Vaughan, Mark Buchanan, Dan Thompson, Martha Kaus, Phil Nichols and the governing board members. Also, thank you to Mike Miller for his work updating the information on the website and entering all the race points. That’s all for now. All the race dates will remain the same. The banquet will go on as planned. Let’s go racing!!! Grady Hentz President Welcome to the Texas Muscle Car Club Challenge web site. The TMCCC is the largest club against club racing series in the country and possibly the world. It was founded by a group of muscle car owners that liked to race their cars but didn't want to race in a weekly bracket series. Soon after the first few events, more clubs in the area started showing interest and before you knew it, the series had grown into 9 events covering most of north Texas and Oklahoma. With car counts exceeding 200 at many of the races, we have proven that muscle cars are here to stay. Every club races for points to see who are the true champions in the muscle car world and a driver reward program tracks individual drivers points to see who is the best in each class. Each year there is a rewards banquet where the top clubs and drivers are honored and presented with very nice trophies and prizes. The overall points champion also receives free entry to all of the next years races. GENERAL INFORMATION: Time trials start at 9:30am. Eliminations begin right after time trials.
